News 22nd November, 2009

Hello to all that are reading my blog. I would like to thank everyone who gave up the evening on Thursday 19th November to help us raise money to send boxes of goodies for Christmas to our troops who will be away at Christmas. We raised a total of £64.00 from door admissions, card sales and generous donations from those that couldn't attend. So thank you to all.

November 4th 2009 News

First of all I would like to thank all of you that have continued to support the shop over this credit crunch. We have been fighting our way through it, keeping our heads above water, even when we have gone under a couple of times.

Thanks to our landlord and the bank we have just signed another lease for a further year, so despite rumours we are not closing for the foreseeable future, we have made a few changes to the shop, new shelves in the front of the shop, this helps reduce the cold from the class. We also have all your old favourites and new products from stamps to beads. We have changed the day we have classes to a Saturday and at the moment we are going back to basics with Try Me classes. I will be posting a new class list for you this week as I am still in the middle of putting the list together.

What's Happening in the run up to Christmas.

On November 19th we will be holding a Christmas Shopping night and will not only have our goodies to sell, we will have a range of candles and accessories from Candle Light. The evening will start at 6.30 pm and finish at around 8.30 pm, we also be holding a raffle for funds to send Christmas gift boxes to our RAF guys out in Afghanistan, there will also be refreshments. It should be a fun evening so come along and join us.

Thank you for your business.

I know I have not posted for a little while but have been a little busy as there has been a lot going on. Unfortunately my own health has been a bit of an issue after a couple of bad falls.

The other thing is we have been doing a little rejigging at the shop.
We now have new space for storage which is in front of the window which we hope will help keep the warmth in and the cold out. We also have a better class room area away from the door so classes will also be warmer, there will also be new lighting as soon as the budget allows.

The most important thing for us is the new till we have installed, it will help me with all my paperwork and ordering. The first thing for us to do is bar code all the stock and load it on to the system, which is going to be a massive job and we will take a few weeks to do this, so until then you will have an itemized receipt with random categories.

We are also starting to produce a web site which will be a direct link to the shop and means I will be able to take online orders even if I am not well enough to be in the shop, there will also be an order and collect service which will cut out the P&P for anyone able to get to the shop.

For those of you interested in attending the workshop weekend at the end of June please could you let me know as soon as possible so that I can order the fantastic products you will be using.

If there is anyone out there that needs more information on the weekend then I would be pleased to answer your questions. The weekends we do are great fun and you get great value for money.

Kitty Club Membership

The Kitty Club will now be online so all your news letters will be posted on the blog. Those of you who have already got a membership or about to expire we have new goodie bags for you and the good news is that the membership cost is still the same.

Kitty Club membership is £35 and includes a goodie bag worth at least £35 filled with lots a great products not old tat. This year we have made a card makers bag and a scrapbookers bag and they are both fantastic. You will get a membership card which you bring with you when you come to the shop and this gives you 10% off your spending except on any die cutting systems, sale items and magazines as these items are already discounted up to 30% off.

Once the new system is up and running we will bar code all the membership cards which will help us with ordering as we will be able to see what people are buying.

I have been taking some photos of samples and the shop so I will post them as soon I can download them into the computer.

Guess that's all for now I look forward to hearing from you or when you visit the shop.

Thank you for your custom.

Hello Everyone

I hope all is well with you all and that you are enjoying the spring weather.

At last Kitty Krafts is going online first with a blog which you will be able to contribute too as it will be up dated daily, as we now have a broadband connection in the shop. We will also have a web site around the middle of July which will also run from the shop and will linked into the new shop system which will be online in May.

We are staying at our current shop and hoping to expand with the web site. We will be stocking some new lines such as beads, threads, cross stitch, art materials, knitting kits and of course all the usual papercraft new lines.

This week end we are having a demonstration day with top stamp designer and crafter Lindsay Mason, if your able to attend bring your Kitty Krafts membership card and quote KKV001 and you will have a little gift from Kitty Krafts.

Kitty Krafts has a new list of classes which I have attached to this email, all our classes include ALL materials and the cost of a tutor who is an experienced crafter, all you have to bring are you're craft tools. (ruler, pencil, cutting mat, paper trimmer, scissors)

In the summer months we are hoping to do weekly beginners craft class's, these are not just for people who have never crafted but for those of you that want to do something new and are not sure where to start. It will be held early Saturday morning so you will still have time to do other things you have planned. I will let you know more on the Blog.

We have a lot of new exciting products arrived at the shop this week. 3 new ranges from K and Company which are just beautiful. We have paper flowers from Petaloo which are very nice and lots of great colours. Their are new Spellbinder dies (Shapeabilities etc.) There will be more dies but as its a new product we are just getting a few at a time. We also have lots of new unmounted stamps from Personal Impression and Lindsey Mason, these are very nice and start from £4.99 a pack.

Well thats all from me for now and please go and check out the new blog at
